Kaya Black Bean Dip

Ingredients 1/2 can chipotle peppers
3 Cup cooked black beans
1 Cup mayonnaise
3/4 Cup parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. salt (adjust to taste) grated cheese (Monterey Jack, Chihuahua, mozzarella)
Chips for dipping (Terra Chips, tortilla chips, whatever you want)
Procedure 1. Puree chipotle peppers with half the black beans.
2. Combine puree with remaining ingredients.
3. Place in heat proof container(s).
4. Top with grated cheese and heat in oven or microwave.

Strawberry Balsamic Goat Cheese Dip

  • 1 baguette, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • Extra-virgin olive oil, for brushing and greasing
  • 14 ounces goat cheese, at room temperature
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar (see note above)
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 12 ounces strawberries, hulled and diced
  • 1/4 cup lightly packed fresh basil leaves, cut into ribbons
